19 Months

Climbing up

His new skill..climbing up!! now, he can climb by himself to sofa,bed and chair..give mommy more heart attack, so far I don't let him to step up on stair and safety gate in downstairs always close to prevent him to go upstairs unattended.

One and half year

• Nap 2 times.
• Barney addicted.
• Walking backward.
• Calling me mama instead of mommy.
• Sign languages.
• Handy helper.
• Terrible two strike.
• Still limited vocabulary(his latest add are Nai-nai and Jie-jie).
• Full teeth merge.

• Obsessed everytime see car parking(he'll wave his hand and acting like he help to direct way).

• Don't have "jambul" kind of hair anymore.

11 Kgs

Meal times can be so tiring when Bryan is not in the mood, he's quite picky eater nowdays ,he'll throw foods that taste weird, too big or hard to chew (but when it comes to his favorite foods,no matter how big or hard it is, he'll eat it!!) and when he's on strike, I must try hundred ways to make him finished his meal, it's either with prawn crackers, cheerios,his favorite biscuit or cheese! he'll also refuse to sit still in his seat after 4-5 spoon left and I must chasing him around to finished it! arghh...

he's very an active boy, he can't sit nicely more than 1 minutes! he'll keep walking,running and still giving me heart attack to see his silly move, I think that's why he's not gaining much weight since he's 1 year old..his weight is not more than 10,5 kg and it's goes upside down when he's sicked!

many people said he's bit small compare when he was baby,he's taller but his weight is not increase much, I already try to give him more portion when he's eat but it's so hard to make it constantly eat the same portion especially when he's on strike. he can wailing and crying till I give up (most of the time) to get him out from chair.

so, my mom in law decided to feeding him and asking me to out of his sight when he's eating ,since he can't be BIG HEAD in front of his nai-nai and kuku *hahahahaha* and it's work... this cheeky little boy of mine is sit nicely and finished almost twice portion from I used to feed him, everytime he's start to wailing or spit it up, his nai-nai will scold him and he'll chew it again (if I'm the one who scold him, he'll start to cry out loud,refuse to eat again and give me pathetic look to get him out from chair) so,after 2 weeks nai-nai feeding him,he's finally 11 Kgs! :)

Self feeding?

okay...I think it's still far from my expectation and still long way to call perfect but at least he's trying :) anyone can share their toddlers experience about self feeding? Bryan is showing interest in holding spoon but sometime he just playing with it and will cry if I try to tell him the right way to spoon feed.

Spicy food

I'm not a pizza lover..i can eat it but not very addicted, i only like chicken fav. pizza and eat 1-2 slice, surprisingly..when i was pregnant with bryan, I love pizza and even bugging jaya to bought it for me, i can eat 3-4 slice and even eat spaghetti too!! we're going to pizza hut for dinner today, and he is eating 1 slice pizza (only the bread..I've remove the toppings) and 4 spoon of spicy spaghetti!

I love spicy foods,when I was pregnant,i eat lots of chili, during breastfeeding I try to take chili sauce a little bit when he was 1,5 months and see how it goes, and apparently he can take it, he's poops normal and there's no rash, that's why I'm dare to take it again but always have limit (not as hot as i used too eat)

I've been noticed it few times, he loves spicy food too..compare to his cousin, naomi who always flame into red if eat bit of spicy food and drink lots water while bryan ask for more!! but he have his own limit of spicy food, not too hot lah..but amazingly he can take nasi padang (traditional Indonesian food and have lots of santan,curry,chili) hehehe...like mother like son! while daddy only shake head.

Showing his love

this is what he's doing everytime we ask him "how to love ..(person name)?", he'll pat that person face gently to show his love and careness :)

Standing up by himself

I must say that bryan development is slow and bit messed up, he's prefer to walk first instead of crawling (he's master crawling after he master walking),he sit up by himself (without help) when he was 12.5 months (while the other babies master it at 8 months),he's perfectly rolling left-right when he was 8 months and now, he's able to stand up by himself unsupport at 16 months! better be slow than nothing, right?:)

15 Months

• Barney addicted
• Still can't speak or repeat words (his vocabulary still limited..only mamam,papa,mama,mbak)
• Throwing tantrums (can cry for no reason and sometime can hit his own head with his hand)
• In this past few week, he's scream quite lots (but I think its still okay compare to high tone of his cousin)
• still very clingy with me
  
• can put his own pacifier into his mouth and still need it for sleep
  
• knows dog and cat *thanks to barney*
• Meal times is up side down depends on his mood of the day but still consider OKAY!
  
• Twice naps (if i'm lucky he can sleep until 2 hours plus in one nap,but normally only 1-1.5 hours each nap)
• sleep at 7.30-8.00 pm
• Can walk quite well but still not master enough since he's still can't squad and stand up without hold into things
  
• crawling perfectly *but still in normal speed.. his speed is far if compare to his cousin*
• loves walking can't not stay still for 5 minutes
  
• can do kiss and sayang (touch people face gently to show his love)
  
• understand names of few things

New sandal

Since he's been able to walk,his kuku give him sandal an it can make a sound when he walk with it *ik-uk-ik-uk* he's really love it, giggles and walking around non stop! he's even can understand in just one day where's his sandals and give it to me if i order him to do so!!

I must say that his walking style still scary, he's not master enough and still give me heart attack,he's bump him self few times, few days ago he bump into floor and i think his teeth bump his lips,it's bleeding out and makes mommy heart stop!! I give him special chinese medicine to stop his bleeding and reduce his pain (Ang hong sua), lucky that after 10 minutes, he's not crying anymore and seem normal only leave his lips bit swollen but it already back to normal again now.

Teeth development

Bryan teeth development is consider faster, when he was 5,5 months his pearly white 1 upper and 1 lower are shown up and when he was 9 months old his teeth are 8! now, in 15 months old both of his cuspid upper and lower are shown up which explain why he's bit cranky and refuse to eat in this past few days, now sign of fever (he never get a fever when his teeth are shown up) only lots of drooling and bad appetite. my in-laws said that it's because his cuspid, it can connect to his nerve and make him less comfortable, that's also explain a night crying for this past few days cause maybe he's accidentally bump and touch his cuspid when he's sleeping, but so far there's no sign of gumboil. it consider lucky since I heard most of babies are bit cranky and can get fever or even diahrea when their teeth are shown up.

So,he have 12 pearly white now :)

Ultra High Temperature (UHT) milk

I've start to mixed his formula with UHT (Ultra High Temperature) milk since he's already 1 years old now, the doctor also said it's better to drink UHT milk if he's over 1 year since it's all vitamins that contains on milk is not being process and added like a formula so it's more fresh and healthy.

Lucky that Bryan can take both of milks without any complain and so far there's no sign of allergic due to milk changing *happy laughing* now he's drink UHT milk 2 times in morning and afternoon while he's drink formula twice during night.

14 Months

• Expert in using straw
• Drink UHT milk and formula
• Somehow become picky eater
• Can walk independently but still gives mommy faster heart beating
• Nap time still 2 times a day (after morning bath and after lunch)
• His vocabulary still the same from last month
• Can give a right things to a right person if we're asking "give remote to .."
• Still very clingy to me
• Now where's his shoes,dot-dot (pacifier),security blanket and his teddy bear
  
• Have 12 pearly tooth (his cuspids are just emerged)
  
• Can point to a thing that he wants

Learning how to walk

Surprise! When I thought that bryan will takes a while to walking since he's just master sit by him self from lying position, crawling , and stand up with help few weeks ago, I'm quite happy to see that he's now can walking without support a few step from last week, but he's still up both of his hands as a balance and still can't stand up without support by himself.

It's quite scary to see him learning how to walk independently since sometimes he's refuse to be hold by me and if i'm not hold his hand..he'll walk very fast and it gives me heart beat racing when he's suddenly stop, turn around or even when he decided to moving his body front-back like it's gonna fall down *shake head*

Toilet Training

This is what my little boy do every morning after he's wake up, poo.. he's been doing it since 3.5 months until now, thanks to my mother in law who push me hard to make him poo on his potty every morning, amazingly ever since he's 3.5 months until now he don't poo on his pants or his diapers, if he skip his poo time in the morning, he'll give a gong-gong faces later and I'll rush him to his potty. when we're on vacation to singapore last year he skip his poo times while we're already had a plan that day, so before we go, i tell him to poo otherwise i'll not bring him out that day ,and he start calm and do it. well.. okay as long as i remember there's 3 little accident, but that's still amazing record for me since most of other babies still can't do it in their early months.

but I'm still find a way to know his reaction for pee since he's still can't speak yet, he's using washable diapers pants now,but its either he don't want to pee when I try to pee him or when I find that his pants already wet, its only few times I success to bring him pee.

13 months

• nap 2 times a day (after morning bath for 1/2-1 hour and after lunch for 1-2 hours)
• can stand up by himself but still can't stand up from squad position
  
• can sit up by himself
• can crawling in a right way (using both of his knee)
• love soup,cheese and his baby biscuit
  
• can walk steady few step without support but still use both his arms to balance
• can do high five,high five,kiss bye,clapping hands,grin his eyes
• can know and point when we ask his head,tummy and belly button
  
• very clingy with mommy
• very active boy can't stay still for a while
• since know how to walk, gives me backache cause i'm still guide him and hold his both arms
• can grab and put his own pacifier to his mouth
  
• understand few orders such as : NO *for not touching or doing things*, "give me.." *to give me something in his hand*, "sit nicely..", "where's..." * he can look to a right person when we ask*
• share restaurant food with us so far he's favorite is noodle from Bakmi Gajah Mada
  
• his vocabulary still limited only "mama","papa", "mamam" (ask for eat), "apa" (what?), "mbak" (his nanny) and other baby mumblings
  

Jane and the dragon

Just when I thought that Bryan is not a television boy,suddenly today he successfully stay quite watching jane and the dragon cartoon and this is the first time he 's seem really enjoy the show, he used to ignore it when I try to keep him still for a while,but when I try to change the channel, he's start to wailing, ask me for the remote *he pointed at it* so, I switch again to jane and the dragon show, and then he's stay quite again, watching it with a super cute serious mimic until the show finished!! (it's about 20 minutes).

I only want my mommy!

Bryan is on phase of separation anxiety, most of the time he's only want ME to hold, hug and cuddle him, he can cry for no reason when he see ME walking out the door or off his sight for a moment, sometimes when he's awake from nightmare and cry, he only can comfort by ME, when he wants to sleep, most of the time he only wants ME who sing his favourite lullaby, Twinkle-twinkle little star, he wants go to with ME to bathroom when I need to pee and he want ME to take him walk (which is leaves me a backache for few days)

it's a LOT and of ME! but as a mother I try to enjoy it as long as I can (even sometimes i must admit its bit hard for me too ), there will be a phase when he will feels that ME is not this much important again, so I better enjoy the moment when I'm his VIP person before some girl steal away my position! *wink*

Meal update

Since Daddy is on holiday until 4 January, we're going to mall almost everyday and most of the time when we're having lunch or dinner at restaurant my little boy also curious about our meal and even tough he's already have his own he'll still ask for ours, so either I'll spare mine or order a light snack for him, he's very happy everytime we feeding him and also come to my surprise he'll suddenly master everything that we're ask him to do even some skill that I often teach him but he never able to do it!!

his appetite is great, for lunch and dinner I give him steam rice not a soft porridge anymore and my cooking become more variant since I try a new recipes almost everyday, but so far his favorite is misua,salmon soup with veggie and kwetiau! he's into soup so much, it easier to feed him if there's a soup inside.
